Welcome To Double R Bucking Bulls!
In 1995, James Riley noticed a cute little thing sitting on a fence and asked her to dance. They married on October 17 of that same year and the rest, as they say, is history. They have 6 "his-n-her's" grown children and 12 grandchildren.
James has been breeding and hauling rodeo bulls for 35 years. In those days, if you wanted to see the bulls buck, you had to wait till the end of the rodeo. Involved in rodeo most of her life, Sandy shared James' passion for the business and the animals. For many years they were regulars at PBR events all over the country. Sandy's fight with cancer slowed their participation, but she continued to put a smile on her face, crawl into the cab of that big black truck and head down the road at every opportunity her disease allowed.
In 1996, they bought - 46 Sharp Dressed Man from Derrel Hargis and began building the bloodline they enjoy today. With herd cows from such great lineage as Trick or Treat, Rooster, A-6, 455 Gotcha, Gunslinger, 625 Outlaw and this great sire, they raised some real stars.
Their beloved Sharp Dressed Man passed in 2002. However, his "kids" have stepped up to fill their daddy's big shoes and are passing on those bucking genes, loaded with HEART and TRY.
Sharp Dressed Kid( retired and now owned by Mike Pickard and Bubba Brown), Sharp Shooter (deceased), Medicine Man (now owned and being hauled by Chad Berger), Cadillac Man (retired and now owned by Mike Pickard), and Sniper, (deceased) are all PBR bulls who have participated at the highest level of the business, the Built Ford Tough Series.
As with all good things, the old must fade away to make room for the new. Riley has strong young bulls just pawing the ground to get on the truck. Crossfire, Chocktaw and Silver Bullet are getting their first bites out of the PBR "apple". These talented young bulls are just beginning the process of building their bucking resume'.
DRBB continues to have young bulls, heifers and semen for sale. Please check back often to see these offerings.
Sandy
lost her fight with the great cancer monster on Mar. 8, 2012. The loss
of his wife, partner and best friend is devastating for James and their
family. We ALL miss her, love her and carry her in our hearts daily.
